#84c029;\">culture<\/span>.\u00a0 One of the pillars upon which Jiva stands is that it is a <span style=\"color: #84c029;\">culturally responsive<\/span> intervention.\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #84c029;\">Cultural Preparedness<\/span> is a theoretical framework that has been developed to facilitate these <span style=\"color: #84c029;\">cultural transformations<\/span>.\u00a0 According to the cultural preparedness framework, a culture <span style=\"color: #84c029;\">prepares its members<\/span> to engage with life in a <span style=\"color: #84c029;\">particular<\/span> manner.\u00a0 The learning that occurs between an individual and his or her culture is not only the result of interactions with present members of that culture, it is drawn from a <span style=\"color: #84c029;\">deep repository<\/span> of experience that has accumulated and grown over the ages.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-770b4ab\" data-id=\"770b4ab\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap context.\u00a0 However, the same conditions may be <span style=\"color: #84c029;\">neither<\/span> necessary <span style=\"color: #84c029;\">nor<\/span> sufficient for a people who have a different cultural heritage.\u00a0<\/p><p>Jiva uses the cultural preparedness approach as a framework for research as well as for the development of culturally resonant interventions.\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #84c029;\">Jiva&#8217;s overarching objective is to help the young person draw upon his or her cultural values to construct his or her
