Social and Cultural Programmes

Indian culture is ancient and varied. In fact it is often said that India is many cultures rolled into one. The Jiva Conference is designed to give you glimpses into the Indian social and cultural fabric all through the conference.

The Conference Inauguration

The Jiva conference will be inaugurated in the ceremonial way, with the time-honoured aarati ceremony (welcome and purification gesture), chanting of shlokas (sacred verses) and invocations.

The inauguration will include a 30 minute cultural extravaganza including Indian folk and classical dance and music.

The Inauguration Ceremony will conclude with blessings from the priests of the many religions to which India is home, to give our proceedings an auspicious start.

After the Inauguration Ceremony, all registered delegates are invited to the conference Welcome Lunch - a delectable spread of Indian traditional delicacies.
