Types of presentations

Scientific Papers

A scientific paper is a scientific/academic writing that you present orally to your audience The duration of a paper will be 20 minutes: 15 minutes for your presentation and 5 minutes for audience response


Thematic Symposia

Symposia are presentations of scientific papers on a specific theme. 3 to 4 presentations of 10 to 20 minutes will be made followed by a discussion. You are welcome to form a team and submit a Thematic Proposal that will explore a specific issue related to guidance and counselling. The aim of a symposium is to bring like minded people together for academic dialogue and conversation on a specific theme.
The duration of symposium will be 90 minutes shared over 3 to 4 papers


Posters

The Poster section of the conference is for you if you would like to present your ideas in the visual form! Show case your research, projects or even a method of counselling through a visual display as a poster. A poster offers you the opportunity to informally share your ideas with those who come to see your work.
The size of your display should be no larger that A0 (841x1189 mm).A set of posters will be exhibited for the duration of one conference day.


Workshops

This is an opportunity to move into the skills area. You are invited to hold a workshop through which you could present a programme or an intervention that you have developed.The central objective of a workshop would be to focus on skills development. A workshop could address a new technique in career guidance, a specific set of worksheets you may have developed, a method you have used for occupational classification, a test or an assessment device you would like to demonstrate or perhaps even an overview of a complete career counselling programme.
The duration of a workshop could range from 90 to180 minutes.
